About the Author
Meet Sam T. Spade (Jeff)
Author Jeff on USNS Elisha Kane

I’ve spent a lifetime sailing the oceans of this planet on ships as a Bosun’s Mate, third in command of the ship.

I’ve seen the best of people and the worst, most unimaginable things of life in other countries, such as the USSR (people looking over their shoulders constantly for fear of the KGB), and Haiti, where the toddlers roamed the streets starving to death.

I’ve seen the most beautiful things in the world—the Rock of Gibraltar, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome—and the ugliest in the world. I won’t go into details.

I’ll be posting items I enjoy and find interesting: historical, offhand, out-a-hand, spooky, otherwise eye catching, amusing, inspirational, heartfelt, some haunting, things that will tug at your heartstrings and intellect.

I hope you will enjoy an old man’s musings and insights, appreciate/like my efforts, because, as an old man, 72, learning how to use computers is much like trying to learn a foreign language—VERY difficult, lol.
